Hot air balloon season heats up

Now that spring has brought warmer temperatures (we hope), you can take the family to many hot air balloon festivals around our state beginning this month. The season for hot air ballooning ramps up in late May and traditionally goes on until late September.

If you have never been to a hot air balloon festival, you should add it to your bucket list. The colorful balloons against the sky can be quite breathtaking. Many of the festivals offer tethered balloon rides for those who want to see our state from a different vantage point. Many events are free of charge.
