Participants rocked their red ribbons at these World AIDS Day events

The LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland hosted a Dec. 1 event that included HIV & STI testing, quilt making, a vendor fair and panel discussion. Cleveland is one of 500 fast-track cities worldwide committed to ending HIV with no new cases by 2030.

Columbus Public Health’s Dec. 1 event featured guest speakers, song, dance, spoken word, poetry and art to “raise awareness and celebrate those living with HIV.”

The United Way of Greater Cincinnati encourages communities to take the reins in addressing HIV. A free Nov. 30 gathering included hors d’oeuvres and a discussion with activists as well as an interactive remembrance.
