• Columbus – There are 20 parks throughout the area with 230 miles of trails. The newest is Quarry Trails Metro Park, a former abandoned quarry now replete with a stunning waterfall and activities such as canoeing and mountain biking.
• Cincinnati – Local park events in July include Wednesday in the Woods, Rapid Run Family Fun, On Point Music Festival and free Shakespeare in the Park.
• Cleveland – Explore forests, wetlands and waterfalls at Cuyahoga Valley National Park on foot, or board a train through the valley and river. And don’t miss Cleveland Metroparks’ summer concerts with performances at six of the park’s waterfronts.
