BMV starts ‘Get In Line, Online’ program

Get in line online

Tired of waiting in line to get your license plates renewed or register a vehicle? The Ohio BMV hears your frustration and is starting a program called “Get In Line, Online.”

You will check in online, then have a four-hour window to arrive at your deputy registrar location, check in at an automated kiosk and claim your spot in line.

The program is being rolled out at 12 locations this month, with plans to have all 186 offices online after testing and evaluating. Officials say drivers now are subjected to “significant wait times, which is inconvenient, inefficient and frustrating.”
