Earlier this year, I discussed how challenged our streams and lakes were because of harmful algae bloom (HAB).
HAB attacks Lake Erie. You probably knew that. What you may not know is that Chippewa Lake was free from HAB in 2019 for the first time in four years.
Our message to make Chippewa Lake the poster lake for solutions, along with our website and strong community relations, attracted BlueGreen Water Technologies from Tel Aviv, Israel, to bring its Lake Guard treatment.
We continue to watch how the BlueGreen Water Technologies treatment performs. It appears to be perfect for smaller lakes.
