Orders soar for CFM at Paris Air Show

by
CFM International

The 2019 Paris Air Show, held last month, proved to be a big winner for Cincinnati-based CFM International. The aircraft engine maker closed on over 1,150 of its LEAP engines, along with long-term service agreements, for a total value of $50.2 million.

Even before the air show, CFM was already flying high with new orders. CFM received orders for more than 17,600 LEAP engines through May 2019. The company said the LEAP engine has had the fastest order ramp up in commercial aviation history and delivers a remarkable 15% fuel improvement over other engines.
