When I go to Las Vegas, I typically spend little time and leave a few dollars in the casinos there. I have always wondered how many casinos are here in Ohio. Here is what I learned.
Prior to 2009, casinos were prohibited in our state, so avid gamblers traveled to Indiana, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Michigan. Last year, the adjusted gross income from Ohio’s four casinos totaled $818 million. Overall, gambling revenue continues to rise.
There are four land-based casinos – Hollywood Casino Columbus, Hollywood Casino Toledo, Jack Cincinnati Casino, Jack Cleveland Casino – and seven racinos. Are you feeling lucky?
