Little Tikes celebrates 50th anniversary

Little Tikes

An Ohio toy manufacturer is celebrating a half-century in business this summer. Little Tikes is hosting various events to mark its 50th anniversary at its Hudson plant – what the company calls the oldest and largest toy manufacturing plant in the U.S.

Little Tikes makes large-scale toys for kids. In fact, a childhood favorite, the Cozy Coupe, still offers young drivers zero gas mileage and ranks as one of America’s best-selling cars. Founder Thomas Murdough Jr. also started toy makers Step2 and Simplay3, both based in Streetsboro. All Little Tikes’ businesses are located in northeast Ohio.
