1. Flu shots prevent coronavirus: No. Flu shots are not a preventative method against the coronavirus. There’s no vaccine as of yet, however, scientists are working hard to develop a vaccine that can work against the virus.

2. Pets can spread the virus: No. There is no evidence that pets such as dogs or cats can be infected with the virus. Wash your hands after contact with animals.

3. Surgical masks for protection: No. All viruses are small enough to get through a typical strap-on medical mask. A more specialized N95 respirator could protect you.
