Buckeye State bridle trails

If you’re an avid equestrian or simply want to try horseback riding, the Buckeye State has plenty of bridle trails. Ohio State parks offer more than 500 miles of bridle trails through all types of landscapes in 24 parks. Eight state parks are adjacent to state forests, providing more than 200 additional trail miles.

The Ohio Horseman’s Council has complete descriptions and maps of select state park bridle trails. Many trails have been improved over the years and are maintained by local horseman’s chapters. Equestrian camps, from primitive to full facilities, are available at 18 state parks for overnight rides.
