What started as a 12-stool diner in Gallipolis, Ohio, in 1948 is now a 500-store chain spread throughout 18 states. That’s why Bob Evans celebrates its history annually during the Bob Evans Farm Festival, slated this year for Oct. 11-13 in Rio Grande, southeast of Columbus.

You can ride a Ferris wheel, enjoy live performances and shows and see demonstrations of farm life. Watch above for skydivers.
