Blue- or light blue-collar workers wanted

I experienced the challenges of raising children with special needs during their school years. There is power in the creation of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) when the team of student, parents, teachers and therapists create a map for the student based upon learning needs.

We need to accept that not every child should or will go to college. Certification, accreditation and on-the-job training prepare today’s light blue-collar and blue-collar workforce for many business needs. Interestingly, students are happier and businesses become engaged.

We should look at every student and each one’s ICP – Individualized Career Plan.
