Help for Ohioans caring for wounded warriors

by
service members

According to the VA, about 775,000 military veterans call Ohio home, and about 135,000 have a service-related injury. It’s especially difficult for Ohio’s 1.5 million caregivers, since many are entrusted with taking care of our “wounded warriors.”

AARP wants to help. The organization has created a no-cost “Prepare to Care” guide, which shows where caregivers can find support and services for military members. The guide developed a roadmap that makes the caregiving process easier.

The 44-page guide was developed with the Elizabeth Dole Foundation. The Ohio 100 thanks all military veterans for their service.
