Technology may get the headlines for job growth, but another faction in Ohio is also spurring our economy – the creative arts. Activity in this unique sector accounts for more than $41 billion in economic activity and supports nearly 290,000 jobs.
Those facts are from a recent study by Ohio Citizens for the Arts that breaks jobs into broad categories, including performing arts, visual arts, design and publishing, film and museums.
The OCA says every category has experienced job growth since 2015 and expects more of the same in 2019. How about a round of applause for the creative arts?
