‘Shawshank’ celebration set for August

Get busy living, and join fans from around the world for “The Shawshank Redemption” 25th Anniversary celebration in Mansfield. The celebration, scheduled for Aug. 16-18, features events, tours and celebrity appearances.

Fans of the award-nominated movie will get a chance to meet cast members, tour filming sites and participate in three days of fun activities. The popular Shawshank Trail features 16 authentic movie sites, where scenes were shot with Andy, Red and even Brooks.

Tickets are in high demand and will “up and vanish like a fart in the wind” if you wait, according to event promoters.
