Paganini’s violin plays Columbus

Paganinis violin

Most likely the most famous violin in the world, Niccolo Paganini’s “Il Cannone” violin arrives in Columbus for the first time in history, according to an announcement from the city.

This historic and priceless instrument can be viewed at the Columbus Museum of Art May 11-19. A public performance by the Columbus Symphony will occur May 15 at the Ohio Theatre.

The violin was played by the “Devil’s Violinist,” one of the most celebrated musicians of all time, according to a news release from event sponsors. Paganini is one of only a few musicians tied to a single instrument.
