Ohio is one of seven states and territories that are part of a new program to enhance cybersecurity among local governments and school districts. The goal is to teach best practices and enhance digital networks no matter what the size of the agency or school.
The National Governors Association selected Ohio along with Arkansas, Guam, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts and Washington for the test program. Various teams will work with the different counties, cities and school districts around Ohio to protect crucial data. Other participants will do the same and reach a consensus on best practices to share with other states.
