If you’re a tennis buff, then you probably know all about the Western & Southern Open, held every year in Mason near Cincinnati. The tournament – held Aug. 10-18 – started in 1899 and is the oldest tennis tournament in the United States that’s played in its original city.
It’s also the second-largest summer tennis event in the country after the U.S. Open. The men’s portion is one of nine elite Masters 1000 tournaments on the ATP Tour, and the women’s bracket is one of five Premier 5 events on the WTA Tour. There is still time to buy tickets.
