Wildlife comes alive at state parks

state parks

Now that spring is almost here, all sorts of native wildlife become active in Ohio. All of Ohio’s 75 state parks have spectacular wildlife viewing opportunities. Making a trip to one or more of our state parks is a fun year-round outdoor adventure.

From the dense forests in our southern regions to the northern shores on Lake Erie, you will find all kinds of wildlife. Take a hike and try to spot white-tailed deer, waterfowl, turkey and beaver. Look for bird species such as bald eagles, herons, sandpipers, quail, pelicans and more. Ohio comes alive in the spring.
