How to recruit police officers

Police officers in the U.S. have become the enemy in many regions of the country. That doesn’t help when it comes to recruitment. How do you recruit police officers, especially minorities – including women, African-Americans, Hispanics, Asians and others? How can you make your police department reflect your city’s demographics?

Stevens Strategic Communications created the Join the Force Now campaign to help cities recruit police that match city demographics. It features community penetration, workshops, videos and training for police officers.

The campaign has won five local, regional and international awards for community relations, video, social media and multicultural communications.
