If you’re planning to attend the Ohio State Fair on July 24, then you need to drop by the Dairy Products Building and see the intricate sculptures made of butter. It’s a tradition going on since the early 1900s.
Each year, about 500,000 people view the butter sculptures and enjoy dairy products. Last year, a team of artists worked 500 hours and used 2,000 pounds of butter to create the sculptures. What do they create? Past sculptures included Darth Vader, the Liberty Bell, golf pro Jack Nicklaus, astronaut Neil Armstrong and a bald eagle. Oh, and also cows.
