Grab your canoe, kayak or paddleboard and head to Cincinnati on Aug. 3. That’s when more than 2,000 fellow paddlers will congregate for the Ohio River Paddlefest, recognized as the nation’s largest paddling celebration. You can bring your own gear or rent it at the festival.
You can travel over 9 miles through downtown Cincinnati/northern Kentucky and enjoy a serenade on the water by bands playing from stationary houseboats along the paddling course. There is a party the night before with live music, food, raffle and exhibits. Proceeds provide recreation needs for teens in 22 area high schools.
