Summer typically means statewide lavender festivals. This year looks very different, but Ohio farms are making it work with timed pickings, photo shoots, educational sessions and other events available to book.
Sunshine Acres in Morrow and Lavender Trails in Orrville are closed to the public, but host ticket-only events. Mentor’s Luvin Lavender reopened in June, with online shopping always available. Schooner Farms in Weston offers workshops in soapmaking, vinegar-making, pickling and more.
Some farms are just a few miles apart, so fit a couple into your day. We all need the calm and wellness that lavender and its derivatives bring.
