When is it good to take third place? When you earn it for having some of the country’s safest drivers.
As an Ohio driver, you’ll like this study. Ohio ranked No. 3 in the Bankrate Best States for Drivers Study, which evaluated states on safety and driving quality, commute times, traffic fatalities, vehicle theft incidents, gas prices, auto insurance premiums, road conditions and other factors.
Ohioans spend less than 25 minutes commuting each day, though 20% of it is on roads in poor condition. North Dakota won the top spot and Iowa took second. The worst place to drive? California.
