Many communities across the Buckeye State and the United States are planning activities and events to celebrate Earth Day on Monday, April 22. The origins of Earth Day vary from different coalitions, but we can all agree that protecting our planet is paramount.

More than 1 billion people in 192 countries now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world according to the nonprofit group Earth Day Network.
