In December 2008, the last truck rolled off the assembly line of the General Motors plant in Dayton. Then, in 2014, a Chinese company reopened the factory and hired a largely local workforce to make automotive glass. The ensuing cultural clashes put some bumps in the road.

Professional sports have player of the year awards, but did you know that Ohio has a similar recognition for teachers? Voting is now open until April 5 for the 2020 Ohio Teacher of the Year. School administrators, colleagues, community members, parents or students may submit nominations.

In full disclosure, I attended John Carroll University and Case Western Reserve University. I was even on the JCU business school’s advisory Board. Other members of my family went to Ohio State University and Miami University. So, when I saw this ranking of business schools, I smiled proudly.
