I thought of my grandfather when Ohio announced another record-breaking year for new business startups in 2018.
Dziadzi owned a small grocery store in Cleveland. As a kid, I loved to visit there with comic books, milkshakes and candy. Dziadzi was humble, spoke broken English and made the neighborhood work. In those days, you walked to your local store. Grandfather kept a log of charges for his regular customers. Things change, but small businesses continue to thrive.
There were 125,204 new business filings recorded here. Count The Ohio 100 in this number.
