You don’t have to venture to Texas to watch pro bull riding. Just visit the Buckin’ Ohio ranch off Interstate 71 south of Medina, and you can see the sport firsthand while enjoying western music and other activities.
There is one more bull riding event scheduled for this summer on Aug. 24, with the theme of “Celebrating the American Farmer.” Gates open at 4 p.m., and the bull riding starts at 7 p.m. Also on tap is the Tournament of Champions on Sept. 21, where bull riders, barrel racers and mutton busters compete for the Buckin’ Ohio title.
