Ohio superintendent tech award

Let’s hear it for Lakota Local Schools’ Matthew Miller, the first superintendent in Ohio to receive a national award for the creative use of communication technology. The National School Public Relations Association chose Miller for his efforts to integrate social media, monthly videos, apps and a learning blog to inspire staff and students.

Since joining the school in 2017, Miller has made use of Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and free laptop distribution to engage the 16,000 students in the district, which is located in southwest Ohio. He uses digital platforms to make connections and keep parents informed of school happenings.
