There is a summer camp for girls in Ohio interested in science, technology, engineering and math careers scheduled for July 14-20 at the Ohio Supercomputer Center in Columbus.
The Young Women’s Summer Institute is designed for sixth- and seventh-grade girls to explore STEM fields through hands-on experiences. This week-long program allows participants to work on practical scientific problems using the latest computer technology.
An expected 2.4 million STEM jobs will go unfilled in 2019, so it’s nice to see a program like this helping the young women in Ohio get started in this growing field.
