In the village of West Liberty you’ll find one of the state’s largest and most stunning natural wonders, Ohio Caverns.
Known by many as “America’s most colorful caverns,” the 35-acre park contains two miles of underground passages ranging from 30-103 feet deep. Two guided summertime tours are offered – the “historic” and “natural wonder” – each an hour long and winding through different parts of underground terrain. If you prefer to stay aboveground there are picnic shelters, a playground and a rock shop to pass the time.
Best part of your cavern adventure? Temperatures remain a cool 54 degrees throughout the year.
