Millennials take to road with Airstreams

Millennials drive Airstreams

Unlike baby boomers, the millennial generation is not waiting until retirement to buy a travel trailer. They want the adventure now.

That’s why the iconic trailers made by Airstream have witnessed more than a 200% sales growth over the past five years. The Shelby County-based company was founded in 1929, pioneering an iconic design that soon attracted a following. It takes about 300 hours and 5,000 rivets to build one of the aluminum travel trailers.

Airstream is building a $40 million, 750,000-square-foot facility nearby to create more jobs and give millennials that feeling of freedom.
