Having been involved in workforce development committees, I was very impressed with the progress reported by JobsOhio.
JobsOhio is a private nonprofit corporation designed to drive job creation and new capital investment in Ohio. According to its 2018 results, JobsOhio and its partners worked on 266 projects, projecting a record $1.3 billion in new payroll. Both figures are records. Logistics and distribution, manufacturing and health care brought the most jobs. Energy and chemicals saw the most capital investment.
Recently, JobsOhio approved a five-year strategy – dubbed JobsOhio 2.0 – that expands the investment strategy of the nonprofit economic development organization.
