Enjoy the heritage and festivities at the Great Mohican Pow-Wow set for Sept. 20-22 at Mohican Campgrounds in Loudonville. Pow-Wow time is the Native American’s way of coming together to join in dancing, singing, visiting, renewing old friendships and making new ones.
The Pow-Wow features entertainment and exhibitions like fire starting, tomahawk throwing, Aztec dancers, storytelling, live music, drum competitions and much more. See more than 40 artisans, craftsmen and traders at work including wood and bone carving, basket weaving, pottery, fur trading, flint knapping and knife making. Students can learn about Native American culture and lifestyle.
