The Ohio attorney general’s office has set up a new system to help consumers find reputable contractors to work on their homes. The consumer protection division now has a feature where you can input a contractor’s name and find any complaints or fines.
The platform pulls together all the public information the attorney general’s office has collected since 2013 and puts it into a format that you can easily access. Once you log on to the consumer page, you can search for any contractor in the system “to make sure they don’t have a history,” says Attorney General Dave Yost.
