When I had the opportunity to spend time with Dick Pogue in my Dix & Eaton days, I quickly learned how connected he was and how genuinely he loves Cleveland. He was the guy who took Jones Day on the road – growing the firm to 1,225 lawyers in 20 offices worldwide.
While breaking bread at the Union Club, he applied his pragmatic, no-nonsense approach to the challenges I faced. He has saved troubled organizations.
I try to emulate Dick Pogue’s work with our nonprofits. I’ll never come close. He continues to leave his mark on Cleveland and the world.
