Give me a corned beef on rye

St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, as if we need an excuse to eat corned beef. The bars will have “kegs and eggs” for breakfast, but the post-parade crowd will only be satisfied with corned beef sandwiches and green beer.

In the Cleveland area, my favorite place for corned beef sandwiches is Slyman’s. The one in my neighborhood is a sports bar, so count me in. In Columbus, my spot for corned beef is Katzinger’s in German Village. The aroma of a deli hits you walking in the door. Be sure to grab a dill pickle from the barrels.
