Our son graduates from Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania, on Mother’s Day. We are looking forward to the graduation ceremony and the post-graduation activities on campus. Here are some words of wisdom I found as he and his fellow graduates venture out into the world.
• Be positive, principled, proactive and productive.
• Be open to change.
• Don’t hide from your mistakes.
• Keep moving forward.
• Learn from everything.
• Treat everyone with respect.
• Make connections.
• Prepare for the future.
This is the time for reflection, celebration and getting ready for job hunting. We’ve done our part, now it is up to him.
