Most movie buffs know the iconic scenes in the movie classic “A Christmas Story” were shot in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood. Various areas around Cleveland over the years have become partial scene settings for well-known movies, making the city one of the best locations for cinematic productions.
Movie makers have long been drawn to the area’s interesting ethnic neighborhoods, downtown streets and sports arenas for backdrops. A partial list of memorable movies include “Air Force One,” “Major League,” “The Avengers,” “Captain America,” “The Deer Hunter,” “Light of Day,” “American Splendor,” “Draft Day,” “Alex Cross,” “Spider-Man 3” and “The Soloist.”
