As the COVID-19 pandemic spread last year, Kettering Health Network (KHN) created mobile testing sites that provided rapid results to patients in rural Ohio. KHN set up these sites using FirstNet, the nationwide broadband network dedicated to first responders.
FirstNet provided KHN with reliable communications solutions by implementing high-performing modems at drive-thru testing sites. The modems allowed KHN teams to stay connected to the internet without any interruption of service for patients, making mobile units as reliable as hospital care.
