Whether you refer to the creature as Bigfoot or Sasquatch or Yeti, he’s a big dude. The legend of Bigfoot has its origins in the Pacific Northwest, but there’s an Ohio connection at Salt Fork State Park near Cambridge, where there have been numerous sightings over the past 40 years.
Bigfoot believers will gather at Salt Fork twice this year. There’s a conference May 4 and a campout June 21-23. Bigfoot authorities will speak at the conference, but if you want a bigger thrill, spend a weekend in a tent at the primitive campground where Bigfoot has been sighted.
