43rd Memorial Tournament

Ohio native Jack Nicklaus had a dream of building a golf course to host a tournament honoring the greats of the game. Muirfield Village Golf Club was officially dedicated on Memorial Day 1994 with an exhibition match between Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf.

This year’s tournament is set for May 27-June 2 and there is still time to get tickets for the event, now in its 43rd year. Roger Maltbie won the inaugural event in 1976, receiving $40,000. The 2019 honoree is Judy Rankin, an LPGA legend and broadcasting pioneer. She won 26 times on the women’s tour.
